Loose 6-12.

I raise w/ K /forums/images/icons/spade.gif K /forums/images/icons/club.gif UTG. 4 callers. 6-way to the flop.

Flop 5 /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif 7 /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif 8 < /forums/images/icons/club.gif

BB checks. I check, planning to hopefully check-raise a late position bet. UTG+1 (Next player) bets and everyone calls. I call as well.

Turn Q /forums/images/icons/spade.gif

BB checks. I bet. UTG+1 raises. CO and button call 2 cold. BB folds. I 3-bet. UTG, CO, and button call.

River K /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif

I bet. Good or bad decision?

While check-raising a late-position bet would have been great, I would have taken the check-raise that you could have had on the flop (rather than calling). Heck, I prolly would have just bet out at that point.

At this point, you would hopefully be up against fewer flush draws on the river (maybe not with this group). Bet or not? I don't know the right answer, but I would bet and call a raise here.

I have less than 50 hours of casino poker experience, so I may be way off. Thoughts?

I would have bet the flop. You don't want to risk it being checked around.

I also want to knock out as much junk as possible.

Since you checked, I definitely think you should have check-raised.

I'm not sure about 3-betting the turn. CO and button have already called 2 cold.

Don't you love/hate that river card.

I like the river bet. But, what are you gonna do if CO or button "wake up".

I got called in two places. My set was good. One opponent showed AQ, the other mucked. I suspect he had K6.

IMO the river play is automatic....you bet and fold to a raise from a typical player....The flush card will be just as scary to them as it is to you...

This a pretty dangerous spot. I would bet anyways.

I think most players would do better if they completely disregarded a board with three cards of the same suit on it until they are raised. I'm not saying never to fear these boards, but even good players are fearful way too much.
