This is a situation i am extremely unsure how to play, if the blinds were abit bigger it would be an easy push, but now?

How have you played against BB earlier in the tournament?

If you have folded your SB most of the time, I think you could get away with raising to 500 or so. If you've been attacking his blind without mercy, I would fold.

I would push Ax into med size bb here. He will fold most hands.

I had not been stealing any blinds at all up to this point, however. I dont like raising in the SB, because if i am reraised i never know where im at. 50% of the times its a resteal and the rest its a hand that has me dominated.

I ran this through SNG Analyzer and it was a push if i put villain on 88+ and AJ+ which i pretty much think he would need to call.

That's why it's really important to know how you had been playing. He could put a move on you and push with any two because it's the bubble, but I doubt that many players are that aggressive on someone's first blind steal attempt. Raising to 500 does give your opponent LOTS of fold equity against you, but it's close between pushing, raising, and folding. I say just go for the raise, and respect a push.

I'm leaning towards folding here, but that could be a leak of mine. You're sitting on 12BB and really don't need the chips at the moment (ref. Lorinda 3:16). I'd prefer to simply fold this, and attack blinds when I have less than 10BB.

It sounds like you want to lose chips and then start pushing. Being a chicken on the bubble is how you get a lot of 3rd and 4th places. Raise this pre-flop to 500. If you get re-rasied you can still get away from it. Most of the time you will pick up the blinds.

My point was that it's not exactly necessary at this point to start with aggressive steals, especially against the big stack. I'm simply presenting a second argument, which is not necessarily wrong in this case. Preserving FE for when the blinds get higher is a perfectly sound technique, as long as your stack is not in any present danger (the OP's is not).
