ROI vs AVG

i play the party STT. lets say my ROI in the long run is 12% .. does that mean that i am <3% better than the avg player?

so if someone had a ROI of 20% they would be 3% better than the avg player..

that means every skill you learn only makes you a tiny % better than other players/.

am i wrong?

you're on some wacky math ish, dude!

the average ROI is -10%. if your ROI is +12%, that makes you a lot more than 3% better than the average player.

it's easy to forget that someone with a 20% ROI is actually MURDERING their level...but getting robbed by the rake down in the parking garage.

well i mean that you win 3% ROI from anyone of the 9 guys on the table. 3*9=27% ROI - 10% rake.

The average player has a ROI of -10%. This is due to the fact that the average player breaks even but loses due to the rake. This means that if you have a +12% ROI, you are doing very well because that is 22% better than what the average player would make.

i think this is bad math. you're seriously twisting some numbers around and making conclusions. so, in answer to your question, you are not "3% better than everyone at the table" - that's just bogus.

So if you are playing an $11 and get 20%ROI, you average a return of $13.20 for every $11 you play. The average player achieves $10 ($11 minus fee). How is that 3%?? More like 30%...

if you break even it means you are better than average because you beat the rake

do not underestimate the rake, i payed several thousand dollars last month in rake...that ish adds up.
