Results in white below:
Hero has 2d 2c (two pair, queens and twos).
SB has Kc 8s (one pair, queens).
Outcome: Hero wins t1030.

The way i look at it. Villan would be pushing with any 2. I get a PP in BB i am going to call. If i fold it is hard for me to come back. If i win i am in good position to get first or 2nd.

Ok, so SB's pushing. If I'm SB, I push a lot of hands. Do you have any reads on SB? Is he pushing a lot of hands, or is he tight?

he has been aggresively trying to steal blinds. He got caught once so he becomes short stack with me.

I probably make this call, but remember, just because 22 is a PP doesn't mean its a good hand to call all ins with. The best situation you could possibly be in with 22 is a coinflip.

It does not matter what the SB has been doing. He is going to have two cards above a 2, you just hope they are not the same. Easy call every time.

It's obvious what happened here, but in the future you should make sure that the converter didn't screw up the hand before you post it.

Yes. You're either dominated or racing. Pick a better spot.

Preflop: Hero is BB with 2, 2.
2 folds, Hero calls t730.

Folding here results in a fairly large transfer of equity from Hero to the other short stack. This is the worst type of equity transfer for Hero. This increases Hero's incentive to call. If SB is pushing aggressively (wide range) then this is a fairly clear call (run the numbers with 22+,A2+,K2+,QT+,JT as SB push range and it's a fairly clear call for example and this is really not a wide range for this situation but prolly reasonable for an average low level player).

In addition to this transfer of equity to the other shorty, you have to realize that your FE is fairly low after you fold and the stack size/arrangement is not very attractive for stealing from Hero's perspective.

This would be a fold if the big stack was pushing (since the equity transfer would not be nearly as damaging) OR if SB was expected to have a tight range of push hands for this situation (i.e. say any pair, any ace). Note- if SB decent this is a clear call as his range should be quite wide.

The most important thing at the bubble is your stack in relativitiy to other places stacks.

You cannot afford to fold this hand, as you give up too much to the second short stack. You must call.

good analysis about the transfer of chips.

He's prolly not pushing ANY 2 as this is a $20, but his range is almost certainly wide enough to make this call clearly correct.

this was a $55. if that matters.

You make some good points. Am I correct in thinking you are only advocating calling w 22 in a fairly narrow range of circumstances?
