There's really nothing else to do if you get charged with it. The penalties are so stiff if you're convicted, and you can usually get it plead down a lot, unless you're a serious trafficker or something.

I never get this either, but you see it all the time on Bunnel's show and others.

I might agree to a search under some circumstances though. I don't have any contraband, and if I was a little drunk or caught doing 90 or something, and got the read that agreeing to a search might get me off easier, I would probably let them search.

Cops can have your vehicle towed on susicion ONLY, and that can be expensive. If you don't have anything, just let them search. I used to get searched occasionally, it's not that bad.
