Player was pretty tight, I figured he would open up here as next hand he would be facing the blinds. Thoughts on this play? Party 22.

AJ is about the worst hand I would do this with btw.

don't mind the play. both of you are shorties. you are either way ahead or in a coin flip situation.

Opponents range of hands to push would have to be about top 50%, so I'm pushing A9, KQ, and 66+. You need chips too and this is a good time to get them.

After I see the ace, I would still need to see my second card to push this, but it wouldn't need to be all that good.

AA-JJ-AK-AQ is as likely as it's always been. I'm not saying that's what I put him on, I'm just saying that what you said about being way ahead or coinflip is irrelevant.

I'm definitely coming over the top of this guy with AJ since his range is huge and I'm still in if he wins.

Almost any A. KQ for sure. Possibly KJ (read dependent). Any pair.
