View Full Version : loose, passive, "turbo" game strategy

I play in a weekly home game, usually 7-8 people. Starting chips are 1500, blinds are:

10/20
20/40
40/80
50/100
100/200
etc...

Blinds go up every 20 minutes, which means about every six hands at our pace of play. The players range from terrible to average, and most everyone is extremely loose and passive, and nearly everyone loves to slowplay.

Due to the slow pace of play I get very frustrated that most nights I only play 2 or 3 hands before I'm in the move-in/fold zone (if I don't win any of the hands). If I have a bad run of cards, I may not play any hands.

I was thinking that since everyone slow-plays and are generally passive pre-flop, that I could try to limp in suited connectors, Ax suited, maybe Kx suited, and maybe complete my small blind more often. Any thoughts on this, or should I just stick to standard tight strategy in early rounds. Thanks for any suggestions!
