Strategy for an all ante holdem game [Archive]

Hi all,
I was invited to a game last night, 8 handed, in which everyone had to put in a 50 cent ante. On all streets you could bet any amount with a max of $2. What would be the correct strategy for the types of holdings to play?

I play in a similar game at home.
6-8 handed, 50 cent ante.
fixed limit 1-2 game.

You MUST do a lot more betting pre-flop with playable hands, if you would call a bet, you must MAKE a bet. Otherwise the trash gets to play for free.

If it is a passive game, play a lot of draw/suited hands.
If aggressive stick to med/big pairs and high cards.

Don't fold a lot like in a casino game or no one will like you. Watch the check-raise as well (it's accepted and encouraged in our game, but some people will get pissed).
