Iriver H340 mp3 player: thoughts?

I currently have an old second generation Ipod(40 GB) that I plan on giving to my brother for his birthday, and getting a new mp3 player. This Iriver H340 looks very nice. Is it just as simple as plugging it into the USB port on my computer and it acts another hard drive, letting me copy songs on to my hard drive? Are there any restrictions on sharing songs? I definitely want at least a 40 GB one because I have about 12,000 songs.

What other 40 GB+ player besides the Ipod would you recommend instead of this one, if you don't like the H340?

I found a new H340 online for $340. Is this a good price?

How about somebody just make a goddamned review of all the mp3 players thread or people just go check out eopinions or a similar site? This is at least the fourth thread on this topic in the past couple of days.
