Wow. What do people think about this? It doesn't apply on PP, but what about Crypto? Do any of you high limit Interpoker guys do this?

Rule of Seven, with Abdul (http://pokerhelper.com/forums/showthread.php?p=385663&mode=linear)

Sample quote...

[ QUOTE ]
You have K9s and go 7 bets on a flop of T92 with two of your suit? Good, but few players would fail to do so, never mind the rule ofseven. K9s here is a favorite over AT, JJ, and QQ. K9s here is afavorite over AA when is of other suits - a slight dog against a random AA. Jam the flop while you still have your edge and then consider taking a free card on the turn... that's the only way to play it

I guess its fine as long as you are playing agasnt some donk who will go 7+ bets without a set.

Its even better if you remember to do the same thing when you do have a set.

But thats the thing.. he claims it is right v.s. another expert player, not a donk. Apparently, the other expert should be making this play with AA as well.

The key to it as I understand it is that putting in 7 bets on the flop is the same as 3-bets on the flop, plus a calldown.

If one of the players improves on a later street, they bet again.

I think.

I understand the part about going nuts with a huge hand HU...the rest, not so much.

You might go this deep once in a while to effect your table image and get actin down the road, but in my experience after 3-4 raises I'm ready to see the turn.

I've done a few more searches for the guy proposing this, Russ Georgiev. He seems unbalanced. The fact that he did an interview with Abul on the topic made me think that this idea may have some merrit, although, to be honest, I don't see it.

He didn't do an interview. Abdul posted on the subject (http://groups-beta.google.com/group/rec.gambling.poker/messages/e290e8e4fd7ff5de,c63fd80d4305d950,f830148114338dba ,46b8cd09a0e371ee,f3853100f5f57900,95294f088397c31 3,50e6114fcde0b8a2,f5e68f604ecb782b,a8d867a9aa973e b7,ef34f838152b1991?hl=en&thread_id=315eced55bc060 91&mode=thread&noheader=1&q=insubject:Rule+insubje ct:of+insubject:Seven&_done=%2Fgroup%2Frec.gamblin g.poker%2Fbrowse_frm%2Fthread%2F315eced55bc06091%2 F7419e613baad3c09%3Fq%3Dinsubject:Rule+insubject:o f+insubject:Seven%26rnum%3D1%26hl%3Den%26#doc_a8d8 67a9aa973eb7) in 2002, and then Russ edited and reposted in 2004 to make it look like he and Abdul had this dialog going.

I actually had this happen the other day on crypto- a guy 8 bet me on the flop and then too a free turn and river. I had aces and took it down, no idea what he had.
