Yes, I left my post count aqt 9,999 on purpose with the intention of posting something halfway meaningful on Friday night. However, on Friday evening we found out the father-in-law has cancer so it's been a busy & depressing couple of days. The wife and kids will be headed back to Texas shortly to be with him. We don't know yet how serious it is, although apparently the type of cancer he has is very aggressive. Anyway, I already miss them, and I'm sure my phone calls from the wife will be depressing. I'm sure I'll gather actual bar trip report material while they're gone, but I don't know if I'll be in much of a mood to post any of it.

I'm sorry to hear that, Jake. I know too well how tough cancer is and I extend my thoughts to you and your family.

I feel bad about giving you crap now.

Take care of your family, and if it makes any difference, this post made me a little sad.

Jake,

I'll be praying for your wife and children's safety as they travel... and for your father-in-law's health.

Terrible news. I wish I or someone else had something comforting to say. Very sorry, hopefully things will turn out okay.

This has been established. Just don't tell me to my face or I'll hit you with my cane.

Thanks for the thoughts everyone.
