2nd chance tourney at the rio(200+25)
Down to 5 players left. Blinds are at 1000/2000, antes of 500.
My stack size is at ~35kish(average is about 60,000, and stack sizes are like 35k 45k 50k 60k 100k)
Folded to me UTG+1 i pick up a8o and fold.
Pick up a3o UTG and fold.
UTG(45k) raises to 10k, folded to me in bb, i look at a10s and push

I'm curious how this hand ended up. I would have pushed too. You have to take some chances, your on the short stack. Sure seemed like the guy under the gun didn't want any action with that raise, or has two overcards, could be ace king. But, with your chip stack, probably worth the gamble if your looking for a good finish and not squeaking in the money. How did this end up?

He had AQ and knocked me out. I was thinking "just play tight for awhile see how things develop" and mucked those ace hands. I felt like a fish falling in love with the sooted. I think i used reverse gap theory at the final table.
I still won a decent amount of money though, so can't complain much.
