"His eyes are dreamy."
"Should I have him sign my breasts?"

Break is coming up, more to follow.

Took a little nose dive. Now at 17k in chips. Down from 22k. That being said, there's under 80 now. Top 63 are paid.

SS - no explanations needed.

Isn't there any photos of Darrel from Irie's post? If not, we'll have to scour this events. What's the over under on the fish glasses?

I just got back to my room at the Bellagio from watching gig at the Rio. I hung out with Yugo, Greke, and Raptor while watching gig for a while. He ended with 80k chips and I would say he's the favorite to win the tournament.

Also, please don't think that suited was exagerating Yugo's obsession with Gigabet. If anything, he was underestimating it. Right after I got there (the others were there before me), before yugo had met Gigabet, it was like little schoolgirl getting ready for her first date. He was so giddy.

I am extremely inattentive to detail. hence all the posts where I make a snap judgement say something about a hand, someone reminds me of the chipstacks/ players left, and I go "oh... forget it".

I had read all the links about him doing well in the tourney, I guess I never read the header about what tourney the results I was reading were for. I never heard anyone say he's played omaha before either.

As far as ESPN filming, Cardplayer says:
"Players are on a short break as they fill out ESPN information papers. Although this is not one of the fetured television events, ESPN will still record portions of the final table and require player information."

So they might have little snipits here and there when they televise one of the other events.

There are two possibles as I know Giga is late 20's and most of them are pretty old. One has black T/Red Bull...other has black dress shirt.

Congrats Gigabet. This was one of the weakest fields ever assembled, In fact I am almost certain that in terms of EV as a measure of how many times the buyin it is second to only the main event. Unfortunately you start with so few chips it keeps luck as a major factor throughout the tournament. At the dinner break I had an average stack and it only gave me 8 BB. I dont think Pascal is all that good despite what his tournament record may be. I think Minneapolis Jim is fairly solid as is Minh Nguyen. Nothing spectacular thouhg. I cannot comment on the other players.

3. Jeff Devall - $190,000 (seat 4)
4. Dan Heimiller - $151,000 (seat 8)
5. "Minneapolis" Jim Meehan - $92,000 (seat 7)

Dicken raises all in to $16,000 preflop, and Meehan calls. Dicken shows Ah-9d-7h-2s, while Meehan has As-9s-9c-6s. The flop comes 10c-8h-3c, and Meehan holds onto the lead, while Dicken has the nut low draw and an open-ended straight draw. He needs to catch a four, five, six, seven or jack to win. Yugo also doesn't understand Omaha. He says that Gig "keeps winning with garbage like A2."

I laughed my ass of at this.

As far as ESPN filming, Cardplayer says:
"Players are on a short break as they fill out ESPN information papers. Although this is not one of the fetured television events, ESPN will still record portions of the final table and require player information."

So they might have little snipits here and there when they televise one of the other events.

[/ QUOTE ]

It was hilarious when they introduced Giga at the final table and the guy reading his 'player profile' read off how long he had been playing poker:

'And in seat 5 with [a shitload] of chips is Darrell Dicken who is 27 and has been playing poker for 20 years...umm...err...wait....[mumblemumble]'

Giga almost put down McDonald's Manager for profession but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Oh, and btw, it took f*ckin forever for them to seat the final table...first they were just going to be at a regular table...then during break they decided to put them on the main TV ready table (without the cameras and stuff) only to realize none of it was set up properly. Giga wasn't able to fully carry his momentum in b/c of that sh!t....oh well.
