If he does a 5bb raise normally, than it is an easy push.

Yep, I don't think you need to stop and go. You've got enough folding equity to push. If he's been aggressive it's a good time to do it. Only way I wouldn't is if he's raised 5xBB before ONLY with a premium hand.
