I folded the nut flush on this hand. UTG was loose/passive preflop, but reasonably aggressive postflop. SB was all in on the turn.

Good fold?

I think you can fold this.

i dunno.. i think it's pretty close. i have seen enough crazy [censored] before to call here in a big pot.

This is close. I don't think you would be wrong calling.

Heads-up I say call, the fact that you are hesds up for the 5 BB side pot probably turns this into a fold (I'd like to say, but damned if I ever find myself folding here). Either the SB or bettor not having at least an 8 would shock the hell out of me.

Since there was an all-in player, I got to see both hands.

UTG had KK and SB had 99. Ouch.

Yes, UTG does seem a little bit passive preflop

Yep. I think I'd call here.

All it takes is 1 time out of 14 for him not to have a Q or an 8 (only 4 cards), and you show a profit.

I assume he had the K/images/graemlins/heart.gif? That was one hand I thought could be played this way.. ugh.

Perhaps I'm giving the all in guy way too much credit, but you need to be right about the better a lot more often then that since the side pot is not big.

Raise the flop.

SB only had 2 small bets left after his flop bet. I thought he would put the rest in on the flop and UTG might cap.

Yeah, the side pot is only about 4 big bets here.

Yes. I didn't put him on an overpair since he limped, then just called preflop. I didn't put him on a semibluff since I had the A /images/graemlins/heart.gif. I couldn't put him on a hand I beat. Maybe some kind of middle pair is possible here.

Ugh.

Did you notice SB is all in? When I folded, I didn't think I would beat both players one time in 14.

You are probably right, though. SB could have a lot of hands. I had trouble putting UTG on a hand I beat, but I guess he might have something like A /images/graemlins/club.gif K /images/graemlins/heart.gif or 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif here.

Trying too hard to play good.
