Anyone have thoughts on this band?

I heard their song "Goldfinger" on the radio today and remembered that I kind of liked it. No, not the song, "Here in my Bedroom." That's by the *band* named Goldfinger. They came out around the same time... I was confused too.

Never heard much about them when that song originally came out.... it seems as though they faded into bolivion along with lots of the other pop/punk bands from that era.

Anyone have the album? Any substance there, or at least other catchy tunes?

Lil help?

1977 is their best album -- it has "Goldfinger," but more importantly it has their two best songs:

Girl From Mars
Kung Fu

I don't know if there's a catchier Brit-pop single from that year than Girl From Mars. Their follow-up albums had some good tracks too. I dig 'em.

Also, they're cool guys -- I got to watch the Spain vs. Ireland World Cup 2002 match with them in their hotel room and they were going insane during it. Ireland lost in penalty kicks and they were devastated; but Tim, the lead singer, had the Irish flag draped around his shoulders the whole time... very cool.
