THIS IS NOT A BAD BEAT POST i REALLY WONDER HOW OTHERS PLAY THIS

I have no read this early. Villan had doubled up KK against AA in a raised pot. No idea what to expect in a limped pot..what do you change. I smooth called the reraise on the flop after taking LOTS of time to "think" figuring to get paid of on the turn.

OK, I'll start posting now...

If your intent was to smooth call and trap with your set I just call the BB bet on the flop.

When the board gets coordinated on the turn I want to take what I can now and get out - I bet at least the pot and make it too expensive for him to call (600 if I play the flop your way - at least 300 my way).

If I play it to the turn your way, maybe I wake up to the hole I have dug for myself after the BB all-in, and fold lowest set and live to fight another day.

I'm not quite sure how this is NOT a bad beat post. You got exactly what you wanted. You made an awful bet on the turn that you obviously wanted him to come over the top of, and he did.

But even though this is a bad beat post, here is how I would have played it.

I would have raised more on the flop. Probably 200 to go.

If he re-raised that, I would move all in. There's no reason to smooth call...he could easily have QT or something like that.

If he calls the raise on the flop and still checks the turn, I move all in.
