Standard buy-in is 20 + 2, with first place paid 100, net profit 78.
if you take first 25% of the time, your net is 12 (assuming you don't make the money in the other 3 attempts).
is it reasonable to assume that you can do better than this? I love the SNGs, and have been successful (at the 10, winning or making the money close to 50%; just moved to the $20, and after 4 tournies, have won 2, for a $112 net, though a very small sample size).

is anyone only playing SNGs and making money? I think they're great, and a great change of pace, but not sure how profitable they are.

No, absolutely nobody makes money in SNGs. We just like to come to this forum and discuss ways to entertain ourselves while we ruin our bankrolls. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Also, your sample size isn't "very small." It's "microscopic." What was your sample size at the $11 games?

I don't know, maybe the SNG FAQ by Citanul, should be a sticky.

Is there some way that you managed to miss the extremely similar thread that happens to be on the front page at the time of this post?

I totally missed the other thread, and just read all of it, and it opened my eyes -- a lot.
I wasn't thinking about multi-tabling SNGs, but clearly, that's where the money is.

Don't reply to this post! Refer to earlier post on SNGs - it answered my Q...
