Where's the best place to view the fireworks in Las Vegas?
Is standing anywhere on the strip good?

I was half-way through a paragraph long response when I realized something. There hasn't been a big fireworks display on July 4th in Vegas for the last few years (at least not on or anywhere near the Strip).

The big fireworks display here happens on New Year's Eve. If you're every in town for that, you want to be about a mile away from the Strip rather than on it. The best places would be someplace like the top floor of the parking garage of the Hard Rock (which is always packed) or someplace at the Palms or Rio.
