I’m getting over 2.5 to 1 on my money. I know my hand sucks, but I think you have to call with any 2 cards in this particular situation, because of the pot odds.

I am not making this call, regardless of the pot odds.

without running it through eastbay's program, I'd guess it is correct to call with something like J-10, but not 6-2

You only have to be winning better than like 27% to call this, and you're better than that against everything but an overpair. If SB's been super tight and has blinded down, though, I might fold this since with 150/300 blinds, you're FE is much higher with ~1400 than with <1100.

Me.

This is not a cash game.

Chip EV <> prize $ EV.

It's not even +$EV unless you put the pusher on just about any two.

You don't need a strong hand to call here, but I don't call with trash.

The fold is probably good for your table image too.

If by 'good for your table image' you mean 'people will yell at you for not eliminating him'. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm confused in this situation as well. The bubble is one bust away and those 380 extra chips give your stack more influence.

However, that edge is, well, an edge. Maybe I'm more willing to call the further away we are from a level change.

It's possible that a call will make people less likely to steal from you on the bubble... "that [censored] will call with anything."

I call with a lot of hands here but not 2-6 little too many chips to blow on a garbage hand.

Easy fold. 2.5:1 is nowhere near good enough to call with 62o.

Yeah, that was just an afterthought. I think a fold will help your FE a little, but I really think the only thing that is important about your table image is knowing what it is - in a SNG anyway.

I'm going to be playing some 25nl soon probably and am intrigued by the recently posted idea of showing a cheap bluff with trash early and then nut-peddling.

I didn't think he had an overpair, and I had him making this move with just about any 2 cards, since he was pot committed.

I think a fold is even better for my table image in this specific hand. The other SS, Sastrick, is going to be in the bb next hand, and I think he's pot committed and will call 1 raiser with just about any 2 cards. Showing down 62o, win or lose, is probably going to cause the other 3 players before me to tighten up, at least for the next hand.
