The limp call confused me, and him waiting for the turn to raise made me think I was beat... But I'd like to hear what others think.

Buy in is $20 at Party Poker.

I wouldn't bet that flop simply because most people who have an Ace wouldn't bet that flop out of position.

So you could try a check-minraise on the flop. If he plays back at you, you can be certain he has an ace and fold with a clear conscience. Here though, I say 85% of the time he has an ace.

Seems like an ace to me. Maybe he decided there were too many draws out there to continue the slowplay. If he had TT or 66 it was a terrible way to play it.

Yea I think I should have gone for the flop checkraise in hindsight and folded to a re-raise.

What do you do on the turn if he just calls the flop checkraise?

vs. a competent player, probably check and fold to a midsized bet... Unless I have a reason to think he's calling the checkraise with a pocket pair lower than mine or trying to make a play at me.
But probably check fold. /images/graemlins/blush.gif
