MRSA is a big problem in the UK as well, they are talking about banning hospital visitors to try and stop it. They have also started enforcing that the staff use special bags and get ready only at work for their uniform. As well as isolating patients with the infection.

However its a pretty common bacteria that a lot of people carry on a day to day basis (probably most health workers have it) its only harmful if it gets into an open wound.
