Why is it that poker announcers don't understand the concept of pot odds? I dont even want to get started on Norman Chad, but Michael Konig was purplexed when he saw Carlos Mortensen call 120k into a 250k pot with T8 suited, when Freddy Deeb was all in, on "Poker Superstars II." Mortensen was getting better than 2-1 on his money, and given the range of hands that Deeb could have had, I think it was clearly the right call. Afterwards Deeb critisized Carlos for the play too. I don't get it. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Ansky-

I could be wrong, but I think it's because even though T8s is not a huge dog against a hand like KJ or AQ (usually 38-42% if it's not dominated), it is in bad shape those times it's up against an overpair. Thus making this a slightly questionable call in a tournament, although I'd probably make the same call.
