I've managed to work up to a $648 bankroll playing .5/1 through 8.823 hands. $200 was earned from bonuses. Please review my stats...am I ready to move up to 1/2?

Move up, and you may be missing some river value bets.

Should I play 10 max, 9 max, or 6 max?

maybe its best to move up gradually, I'd suggest 6max but its tough to jump into that game

party didn't have 9max when i was playing 1/2 so i don't know about that vs 10full

I play 9-max and love it. I honestly believe worse players play 9-max. I get tables with VSIP in the 30's and 40's.

My advice would be to play to start at 10 max and 9 max. 6 max is quite a bit different. You are probably pretty comfortable with full ring play, so I suggest you get used to the higher stakes in full games (or almost full games with 9 max) and then, after you are consistently beating 1/2, consider playing some 6 max.

1. Take a screenshot of the pokertracker detail window by holding down the ALT key and pressing "Print Screen" on your keyboard.

2. Open up Paint or any imaging software, click Edit, click Paste

3. Save the image as a .jpeg

4. Upload this image to www.imageshack.us (http://www.imageshack.us)

5. Link to it in your post by clicking on "Image" in the Instant UBB Code section

About 400 hands of 1/2...still going. Down 50 BB in a combination of bad play and bad cards. More bad cards than bad play, so I'm continuing. I think I'm getting a hang of things.

The tables I've seen so far have been very loose...35-40% VPIP table average. I love calling stations, but it can be frustrating to have good hands cracked by river cards back to back to back. These guys are trampling all over the fundamental theorem, but I'm getting the short end thus far.

I'd wager that most of them don't know the fundamental theorem /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Looks like you are doing fine, keep up the good work!

This stuff is just meaningless if you don't have 10k, you shouldn't have posted this /images/graemlins/smirk.gif!

Everthing looks normal. You could stand to be more aggressive postflop especially on the river...

Thanks, I stayed up all night just to play 1/2 (taking a shot at moving up is exciting). I ended up recovering the bulk of my losses before I had to leave for work (fortunately today is an easy day of document authoring so I don't have to be particularly spry). As the night drew to a close, I proceeded to lose back a chunk of my progress to 3 really poor hands in which I overplayed large pocket pairs. I think this is a big leak for me. I need to think more clearly about when I should lay down a big hand that is beaten.

I second this. You are slowing down rather then speeding up when you still have a chance at the best hand. You fold too much to a bet on the river and your Ag factor is dropping rather then going up.

I have had many days where 1 river bet buys the pot. I look to isolate guys who fold to a bet on the river. Your win rate will go up a lot if you stop trying to save a bet here and there.

I'll echo that the sample size is too small to guage. However, I have sat at your table and have notes on you and everything looks solid.

Move up, what the heck. If you drop 100BB move down again and rebuild. I dont expect that will happen though.
