I wonder why I haven't heard anything about this via the major news networks. This seeems like a huge deal to me. 550,000 people with their asses hanging out in the wind. Not to mention that people in the military could easily be targeted. From what I've heard, the theft only targeted the information, no other property was taken. Names, addresses, SSN's, phone numbers. Everything you'd need to assume an identity. Why isn't this more of a story? See link.

cause people are so complacent about their personal identification. they havent had the problems some people have gone through. wait till it happens to them. dont give out or use your ss# for anything at all. and almost all things its so called required for you can deny giving it out.
