I was almost completely certain the shortstack in the button behind me would bet when checked to, but is a reraise on the flop in order? I know I need to slam this turn, but is this a river I need to be raising? The SB situation unraised and the player's general fishiness made me hesitant to raise this river....

I cant see how you can justify a raise. You're either way ahead or way behind (TM) and will either be reraised or folded to.

Edit: Bet that flop!

Ummm, what? You think the SB has KK or a 3? Those are the only hands that beat the OP.

Raise the river? Forget the river. What the hell are you doing on the flop??

Hmm, my handreading skills need work /images/graemlins/smile.gif

For some reason I was thinking that any king would win. I double taked, and realize thats not so, my bad.

A single king will give villian 3's over kings, opposed to hero's 3's over 7's.

hero has 7's over 3's.

lol. No worries. Just making sure I hadn't completely lost it. It's close, I'm sure, but knowing it hasn't happened yet is reassuring. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

There have been lot of posts lately on how to play a set on flop and this is not the way!
Bet, raise, reraise and cap this flop everytime! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think that the hand plays differently after that but for what is worth I would raise this river. If he has that 3, I tell him "nice hand" and move on.

Well on the flop any player with KK has you beaten pretty badly, and you know how these low limit players love to slowplay. I think KK is one of CO's most likely hands, unless you are very likely and he is actually a loose-aggressive player that would bet this flop with weak hands like AK.

I think you can probably find a fold on the turn. SB is representing a real hand and there is already a caller (obviously both of them can't be bluffing, and you don't really beat much more than a bluff at this point). This is probably the proper time to get away from your hand.

Three-bet that flop and hope it gets capped. Several people are in for two already. Raise that river for value everytime. We're good WAY more than 50% of the time here.

Single K will not hesitate to cap the river.

Thank you for all of the comments. From what I gather it is much more important to fastplay my sets in a pot with this many people and as much potential to grow. I can probably find a raise on the river judging from the other hands I had played with this character. He shows down K8o and MHIG.
