View Full Version : Mini Step 5, autopush or autofold?

The first hand is the hand that directly preceded the hand in question. I lost a big pot to a shortstack who flopped a straight against my A5. Is Q 10 autopush on the next hand because of the blinds relative to my stack? Does the fact that I lost a big hand before change what should be pushed or not since I will be called by a much wider range of hands?

Let's use your assumptions. Put all the villains behind you on hand ranges you'd expect them to call with. Then we can move forward.

first hand fold on flop cuz people dont push flops like that unless they have gooddies. and lots of hands beat yours. 2nd hand prolly fold preflop but maybe you played it right.. depends on table. im leaning towards fold tho

BTW, I would have folded the first hand preflop. Which would have made it easier for me to fold the QT on the next hand.

But the way you played it, which isn't wrong, IMO, I'd be interested in knowing what the hand ranges you put villains on.

payout structure is extremely important, because of it it becomes an easy push.

I figure the villains to call with 66+, Ax, K9+, and Q10+ here, mostly because they assume im pushing any random hand due to the beat before.

Because of the payout structure, both hands are clear allins preflop.
