Party 200 NL full ring. Villain (46/6/0.5) has $417, I have him covered.

I get K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif K /images/graemlins/club.gif UTG and raise to $8. 1 fold, Villain calls, everyone else folds.

Flop is 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 7 /images/graemlins/club.gif 8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif

I bet $18, Villain min-raises to $36, I call.

Turn is J /images/graemlins/heart.gif

I try the old stop and go and bet $40. Villain calls.

River is 5 /images/graemlins/club.gif

I bet $40, Villain raises to $100, I fold.

I surely can't be ahead here... but I am getting good odds to call.

Anyone agree with the fold?

Bet more on the turn, you bet $40 into a pot of ~$90? Villians minraise on the flop looks like a draw, and you priced him in on the turn. That is a really tough fold to make on the river, you're getting good odds on a call but it looks like your beat. JMO

You have a very passive villain raising you twice in this hand. Ol' boy probably has something. I might be done with the hand on the flop. I'm definitely done with it on the turn. I like the riverbet against certain players, but not this one.

Hey, at least you didn't get stacked off like a lot of people at this level would have. /images/graemlins/smile.gif
