Thoughts on these results so far?

It's been less than a week of $10+$1s at Pokerroom and I'm liking the results so far, though I think they could be better. Specifically, I should be winning more than half of the time I am in the money. Ideally, I'd like that to be around 2/3 of the time. I realize this is a very small sample size. Am I shooting too high or am I overachieving?

It would be impossible unless you are playing against people who only play premium hands and will blind themselves away. This just isn't realisitic. Let's say for example that the final 3 players all have an equal stack of chips. Now let's say that you get all-in everytime against someone else as a 3:1 favorite on the 1st deal. Even if you played this out an infinate number of times, you would win exactly 50% of the time. Clearly, this is about as good of a spot as you could hope for when you get ITM, and still you will only win 50% of the time (this assumes that the guy won't fold everything when you get HU).

whats a good ratio for 1st/2nd/3rd? im ending up mostly in second.. definitely need to work on my heads up.

Of course the higher the number of 1st places the better, since the difference in pay between 1st and 2nd is so big.

Personally I don't mind them being even, or even 1st being slightly lower than 3rd. Afterall, in my mind there are more ways to come 3rd than there are to come 1st.

second place is crappy. because of the 5-3-2 payout structure, you should be gambling for 1st rather than clinging to second. i think most of the good players have a lot of firsts, fewer seconds, and a lot of thirds.
