I'd like to optimize Windows XP for poker playing...I'll be playing Party Poker and Pacific at the same time...basically, what can I do to make my computer run as fast and efficiently as possible? I have a feeling there are some tweaks I could do to make this baby run faster. Anybody know of any?

allsnap is pretty good for getting the tables where you want them. Jay

I'm also using allsnap, and i love it. Not only for poker, but in general, it's great.

I really don't see the need for optimizing your system for playing Party + Pacific. That would be 5 tables at max, which almost any system should be able to handle (although Pacific can be a ressource hog). Are you experiencing any specific problems?

Run Msconfig and unmark stuff in autostart. Usually is alot of stuff that you dont need there, should make the computer to speed up a bit.
