Tried the 1k demo for PT and the software seems awesome, but I'm not really sure if it's worth it to me to shell out the 50$ for the program. I'm basically interested in software that will help me montior cash flow/hands played and possibly help me plug some holes regarding certain hands. I'm not interested in tracking other players stats or using PV or all that stuff. I've searched through about 30 pages of this forum and it seems obvious that PT is the undecided favorite, but are there any cheaper programs that might suffice my needs?

PokerOffice is currently running a deal that you get the program free if you sign up with Empire, and I dont have an account there, so I could bonus them too, anyone like that idea?

FWIW, if it makes a difference either way, I play on Party, UB, Pokerroom, Prima and Bodog.

Thanks for any thoughts. Have a good weekend guys.

not to join the throes of others saying that PT is the best, but it is. I have made so much money using PT because it gives me that much more information to work with. Seriously, if you want to play for more then .01/.02 limits, pt will pay for itself

There are at least two listings in the 2+2 classifieds (http://www.twoplustwo.com/classified.php) that will give you a free copy of Poker Tracker if you sign up through them.

I'm a PokerOffice man myself, but you can't go wrong with either.

PokerOffice, besides being fun and interesting to play around with, really helps your game selection. You can load up 4 tables, let them run for 30 hands or so while you do something else, then sit at the games that look good. Great for finding fish.

I play $2/$4 limit at Party. PO has helped me clear out a grand in the past ten days since I got it. That, in my opinion, is pretty good. The best poker of my life.

Just get something!

Seriously though it will be the best $50 poker investment you will make.

There are lots of affiliates that will give you a free copy of Poker Tracker for signing up at various poker sites.

One I know is Poker Source Online, they have a link in the classified section. You can also get any of the other tracking software programs from them if you don't like Poker Tracker as much as another one.

I'm sure there are other affiliates with similar deals.
