VERY VERY NICE!!!!

I have been looking at places in NW Ontario because sometime down the line i want to get some property just like yours. Do you have URLs to any real estate agents in that area of ontario??? Maybe i should consider that part of Ontario as well.... if the prices are in line with NW Ontario.....

I didn't take that pic, it was the only one I could find. The views from my deck are nicer, IMO, since I don't like the closeup of the river and more of an overlook of the valley. That being said, his is truly beautiful and I'm happy he's getting what he wants. It's also exactly what it looks like along the river where I am.

You suck.

Benal do you have an idea what house prices are like close to the surrounding areas? I've always thought of myself as a city boy but as I've gotten older the idea of moving a little further out of toronto is very appealing to me.

Pic looks awesome. Congrats.

I'm guessing that similar property in NW Ontario would be significantly cheaper due to the lack of a big city in that area of the province.

I can't help you with Real Estate agents in that area, but I'm sure Remax would be glad to help you out.

This area is a little further north of Toronto than the "Cottage Country - Muskoka" area. Much cheaper up here. The same property in Cottage Country would be in the $500,000 price range, and that's land only /images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Homes in the area of this property range from $250,000 to $600,000.

It may look like a river on those pics, but it is far from it. There are miles and miles of lake to explore out there, so much so that I'll probably never see it all.

With good design, you don't have to ruin it by building a home. Just be respectful that you're not the only one living there. And maybe do cool things like use passive heating - make a sustainable home on that beautiful land. Will you keep us updated with pics?

If there is anything better than Northern Ontario Canadian-Shield style cottaging and canoetripping, I'd like to hear it.

Nipissing, Lake Simcoe, Muskoka, Haliburton, the Kawarthas, Algonquin Park, Georgian Bay, Wasaga, you name it, I like it. i think 90% of the people i know have cottages in one of those areas.

What makes you so smart is that you didn't buy on Simcoe or one of the really heavily populated areas where its all sea doos and big catamarans all summer.

summer (swimming, canoe-tripping, fishing) or winter (slough-hockey, ice-fishing), great call.

congratulations.
