Small Stakes B&M
Game averages 5 players for 2 bets preflop.

Loose EP Limper and reasonable MP raises. 1 more cold call.
You're the CO or Button.

Please give me your thoughts about playing these hands:

KQs
89s
45s
88
22
ATs
A7s
A2s
79s

Thanks

I wouldn't cold call any of these hands. The only hand I would consider colcalling with is 88. I've always been alergic to coldcalls, though. If Ishmael reads this he'll probably tell me to "loosen up dude!". Still, calling with any other hand than 88 and KQs of these would definately be bad IMO.

EDIT: Oh, didn't read this:

Coldcalling KQs, 88, 22 is good here...

I call KQ, 88, 22, and ATs if I'm on the button and am confident I can lay down/outplay reasonable player.

I think I would be tempted with 89s as well.

89s seems like a better cold calling hand in this spot that KQs.

If you flop a top pair it's more likely to be good and you have more straight draws.

Why not fold KQs and call with 89s?

98s has no high card value at all. Sure, it won't be dominated but when you hit you won't win anyway.

"Why not fold KQs and call with 89s?"

Sometimes you will win *pots* by pairing up the K or Q, moreso than you will pairing up the 9 or 8. Sometimes you will put in *bets* with KQs while dominated when you would not be so dominated with 98s. The extra pots you win with KQs will more than offset the cost of those dominated bets.
