Is this a book already?

I keep getting these ideas to write a book or an article about the parallels of poker and life. The idea seems so good(to me), that it had to have been done before. I have never heard of it, but has someone?

I've never heard of anything, but I'll bet you could come up with some good stuff. For example, I became a much more assertive person in real life when I started playing NLHE. No joke. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Poker MBA by Greg Dinkin. Its paralells between poker and business technically, but he talks a lot about 'life' also.

Go for it. I also suggest taking analogies/anecdotes from other peoples' experiences just to mix things up.

What about Poker, Gaming and Life (http://www.twoplustwo.com/books.html#Poker,%20Gaming,%20and%20Life)? I haven't read it, but it seems to be a similar idea.

I don't think it is a similar idea to what OP was suggesting. The book consists of many different articles dealing with many subjects. The life part of the book doesn't really relate to poker, but rather just logic in general. Anyways, this is a great book, and is probably my favorite poker book.
