I'm a nl cash and MTT player and want to learn SNGs. Can anyone tell me who to search for some good posts? Thanks

daliman, microbet, scubachuck, raptor517, the yugoslavian (when he's not socialising), can't remember who placed in a $2000 tourney, adanthar, lorinda, Phil Van Sexton,
to others - i'm sure i left a handful of you out, these came to mind immediately for better or worse.

LOL, only reason to search my posts is because I can ask good questions, not because I deserve to be on the list you mention.
Anyway, if you're searching for recent posts, you should include Irieguy on your list.

Along with the aforementioned, if you're looking to learn SNG, theshadow is a good one to search. He doesn't post much but when he does its worth a read. And his first post is well, it speaks for itself.

The most valuable contributors to this board IMO are
eastbay (& Bozeman back when he was active)
curtains
Phil Van Sexton
adanthar
Jason Strasser

those are some good choices. if i wasn't totally out of it, i'd have thought of more of those earlier.
strassa has the problem in my mind of not posting enough these days, but i think if you're looking in the archive anyway, you can find more of his stuff.
citanul
there's a lot of good stuff in the archives by persons that none of us mentioned.
a personal favorite of mine is ChrisV.

Off the top of my head I like(d) to read ChrisV, Phil Van Sexton, Lorinda. Wish Raymer and Bozeman were still around, though. I learned more from Raymer than probably any other poster. Bozeman was tops of all time for the hardcore theory approach and Raymer for the more practical yet very logically/quantitatively sound reasoning.
Raymer's posts pretty much single handedly took me from awful, wrong-headed WPT noob to a winning player in about one month's time.

That is true.
ChrisV was a good poster.
I haven't scoured the archives as thoroughly as some, so I'm sure I left several people out.
Also, my list isn't necessarily meant to single out the best players -- just the ones whose posts I tend to find most helpful.

and I hope one day she will return to post good more. =(
some of the old Raymer/Bozeman/Prayingmantis stuff is quite good.
In terms of pure volume of helpfulness and general niceness and good answering of questions, lorinda is also clearly amongst the tops.

Off the top of my head:
Praying Mantis, Strassa, Gigabet, Lorinda, J.A. Sucker, Eastbay, Bozeman, Adanthar, PVS, Irieguy, McPherzen, ChrisV.
Some of the posters mentioned aren't necessarily worth reading cold.....most of the few I listed above don't just state answers with their posts, they teach.
Oh....reading just a handful of posts from the above list of posters is > than reading every one of the last 500 threads in this forum.....
By a ton.

That is they key... there are many people that would prefer I (we) didn't do that too much though.
OP: The archives really are wonderful, I would spend time reading the names others have mentioned rather then reading the content of the current forum. When I am bored/frustrated, I often read old mid-high NL posts I have saved from the archives.

Thanks, but really . . .
All I've done is to look through the efforts of players far better than I for some threads that I've found helpful. All the credit goes to the many posters who have taken the time to share their knowledge.
