Is Cardplayer worth a $50 a year subscription? Trying to decide whether or not to invest. Thanks!

Jeff,

I would have said you can read it online for free but you can't bring your CRT to the bathroom and short articles are a must for a sit down. Also I couldn't find the Roy Cooke article Clark writes about below (it may have been available last week).

Anyway, IMO there are at least four or five writers who are consistantly worth reading and a few others who are often worth reading. That amounts to pennies per decent article.

Regards,

Rick

I'll agree with Rick that there's always 4 or 5 articles that would be worth the subscription cost.

However, call me cheap but I'd have a hard time paying for it since you can pick it up free at most any card room and read almost all of the content online. (I always thought you could read the whole thing online until Clarkmeister and Rick pointed out that the Roy Cooke article isn't in there.)

You don't live close enough to a card room or casino to pick up a free copy each week?

It's worth it, but why not just add www.cardplayer.com (http://www.cardplayer.com) to your list of favorites?

And Roy's articles are online every issue. This weeks is about Holiday rec. players and how to treat them fishies.
