I am going to Borders soon and want to pick up a couple books. What are some good easy reading books? Nothing really deep, i gotta pass a lot of time driving soon, maybe some mysteries or something like that.

audio books? (or are you not reading while driving?)

maybe a bit off what you're looking for, but good nonetheless: Chuck Palahniuk (fight club, survivor, etc) and Nick Hornby (high fidelity) are good, easy reads popular amoung young, american males.

The popular Dan Brown novels are very quick and engaging reads. For nonfiction I recently liked both 'Into Thin Air' and 'Under the Banner of Heaven' by Krakauer.

Wolfe's new book is great. The audiobook has a tolerable voice reading it too.

I assume you're talking about A Man in Full Wolfe and not Look Homeward, Angel Wolfe? /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Agreed. The LA Quartet are all great reads. American Tabloid was a great novel, also.

I have no idea the name but the story about the DEA agent who infiltrated the Mongol motorcycle gang was pretty interesting.

I didn't get a chance to finish it, but it is a quick read that is really entertaining.
