1. Lost a sizable chunk of my stack on a pretty standard play. I guess I'm just looking for confirmation that this is indeed the correct way to play it.

First one is fine.

Second one, fold pre-flop, you have no FE.

I'm not looking to pick up the blinds here. I think Hero's best chance to survive this tourney is to double up. Pray that UTG has two overs.

(caveat: I hate 2s)

I think I lay the 2s down as well. I'd push with them if it's folded to me but facing an UTG min-raise I'll take my chances on a different hand. I think if you pick your spots you can steal a blind or two (maybe leading to a double up along the way.) Especially if you're playing on a passive table.

1st: I bet 200 rather than 150 on the flop same difference, and turn is a fold.

2nd: I go all in here too.
