Did some searching, hit the sticky (no help there), and it seemed that if I want to 4-table without overlap and with minimum squinting, going with the 2405FPW is the way to go.
Is that correct? Or is there a better buy somewhere? If it is the best way to go, any tips on how to get it for cheapest?

I don't know if there is any consensus, but I have this monitor, and although I don't 4 table it would be ideal for this. No overlap at all with room to spare.
If you can spring for it, then your whole computing experience moves up a notch. I think it is wonderful.

Well, it is the cheapest 24" widescreen you are going to find. I might pick one up when Dell has some crazy deal on them. As far as squinting, I have no problem viewing text on a 20" monitor @ 1600x1200 resolution.

Yeah . . . I'm wondering whether getting a widescreen is worth it, actually, given that the party screen's dimensions are almost exactly proportional to the dimensions of a typical screen. Seems that with a widescreen you'd get a bunch of extra space on the right or left that wasn't really necessary/useful.

The 2405FPW is worth every penny. I have both the 2405 and the 2001 and I can hardly stand to look at it because it is so dull in comparison. The contrast ratio & luminescence(sp) is awesome on the 2405. Also, it has PIP, and 5 different inputs (including component).

Got my 2405FPW two days ago, it is very nice. And you won't find a better deal than it because it is the cheapest 24'' widescreen monitor available.
Takes a little bit to get used to so much screen real estate though.
Is there any way we could get a screen shot of 4 tables on a 2405?

Here's one of my pretty wallpaper (actual resolution) /images/graemlins/smile.gif
The monitor doesn't suffer from the uneven backlight problems of the 2005FPW, and mine (fortunately) came with ZERO dead/stuck pixels.
