I would be folding. He knows you had something, probably top pair. So when the Q came and he had it, he took full advantage of it.

Ive yet to read the jacks article, if it has bearing ill come back and edit this.

Basicly, i like your preflop action - though i would have bet a touch more, to 100 total.

What i dont like is your raise on the flop. He bets the pot, now you didnt specify, but im guessing you have no reads.

What im looking to do is to get my chips in the middle. You have 1500 left, theres 250 and his pot bet of 250. So a pot size re-raise is 750. I like this line, and its what id do - but im not unhappy to just raise all in anyway.

This leaves you with 750, so if he flat calls the flop, whatever comes on the turn, your committed for the rest of your chips - if he hit that Q, good luck to the fella. Just fire up the next one.

We were thinking alike. The reason I made the small raise on the flop was because I was thinking villain didn't get any of the flop and would go away with the smallest reraise. I also did it knowing that I was gonna push the turn or call a push on the turn like you surmised.

I raise more on the flop, and of course I call the turn (folding the turn against most opponents should be ridiculous).
