Pokerstars Limit Hold'em....
Is this good? I estimated like this: 300 times big bet amount. Yes/No. Assuming i'm not a shark, but not a fish.
I like to prepare for worst-case scenarios
LIMITS-----------HOW MUCH MONEY B4 MOVING UP.
$0.02/$0.04----- $12.00
$0.05/$0.10----- $30.00
$0.25/$0.50----- $150.00
$0.50/$1.00----- $300.00

300BB is fine for the micro limits.

These numbers seem adequate.
The worst swing I've had was -200 BB in 1,000 hands. The next 2k hands after that brought me up to only -80bb for the 3k hands. It's the biggest swing I've ever seen in limit holdem.
If you're playing a high variance game, which I am, then you do run the risk of ruin. No amount of money (other than infinite) can protect you from that risk. It can only reduce it.
I don't really know why 300BB came into existence, but it did. I trust these guys, but I feel much more comfortable with a much larger roll (1000+ BBs).
I don't play higher because I seem to get killed every time I do. /images/graemlins/blush.gif

if you're being that thorough, then u need another column.
HOW MUCH MONEY B4 MOVING DOWN
200BB swings are not uncommon but your own tolerance to loss should decide where you set it. Ask yourself how u feel building up to $300, switching to .5/1 and crashing to $100 - because you had a bad run of cards. If you don't set a stop loss, you'll be playing with scared money.

Sounds good, but at micro limits I wouldn't really stick to it, because if you lose u lose small. It all depends on how much money u're willing to put in there, but I use substantially smaller BR requirements on those low levels.
