i like it until the turn. you have position so i bet the turn (fold to a c/r) and then check behind the river. that way you may even take it down on the turn and you get a free river showdown if you don't improve.

or you could check the turn behind and then fold the river, since you're only ahead of a 5 here...or lower PP i guess.

Or a complete bluff.

Bet the turn, check behind on the river. You may have induced a bluff here, but most of the time you're beat.

I would fold on the river. I like the flop bet though, have to give him a chance to fold.

The pot is small and your only ahead of Ax, or a PP smaller than 9's. I don't see him betting the river unless he has some type of made hand here.

Edit: Read the other replies

I would not bet the turn. Trying to think of my reasons but I can't think of good ones. /images/graemlins/confused.gif
I just know in this situation I would check the turn also.

If you check behind on the turn, you have given up on trying to win the hand unimproved. I think you have to fold when he bets the river, even if it is just an induced bluff. I think checking the turn and folding the river is fine.

The alternative is to bet the turn with the intention of checking behind on the flop unimproved. If you are raised you can fold, and if he calls and bets out on the river you can probably fold too.

Next time river a 9.
