For the record, the first one I knew that happened had 4 people.

KJS, Ed M, Ohkanda and me.

The last one was the wildest.

Any type of concensus on where people would want to play?

2) Muck
3) Tulalip
4) Parkers or another casino in that area

I would prefer a home game. No need to pay rake if we're just trying to play with eachother.

Central location is good for people like me without a car (I'm pretty central myself, but lacking in space).

Weekends are much better for me.

Okay... i kinda forgot all about this post, as things got pretty damn busy for a couple weeks there, but now i'm thinking about the home game again.

If all goes well, i will be moving into a bigger, nicer apartment at the start of next month, and it'll actually have enough space to hold a home game for ten or so people. I'd love to host a 2+2 game, probably 3/6 mixed games (i play mostly stud and am not going invite a bunch of posters over to take my $$$ at LHE, my worst game by far). I'm thinkng LHE and NLHE, stud, stud/8, omaha/8 and PLO... maybe just do dealer-picks-a-round or something.

the times that would work for me are: between the 7th and 10th, evenings (i'd really prefer a thursday or friday night, sat or sun would be okay, but less optimal), and between the 14th and 17th. How's that sound to you all? like i said, i can handle probably 10 people in the studio that i think i'm moving to (it's a kick-ass apartment with a sunroom, etc). the game is conditional upon my making the move in time, so let's gauge the intrest level before i schedule anything... who would be intrested, available, and not-gonna-flake-out?

How about thursday the 7th as a potential date? (first choice- 2nd would be thurs the 14th). I will buy the beer if others bring some snacks or something like that. minors (over 18, please) would be welcome, but you'll have to put your booze in a cup and tell me it's apple juice or something. /images/graemlins/grin.gif (can't have any wildness- i am the building manager, and i have to maintain some level of decorum.)

well?

Mercer Island is a horrible idea, as is taking a cab. Like I'm supposed to blow my winnings on a damn cab ride /images/graemlins/smile.gif.

No offense salty, but .50/1 might as well be play money. i don't want an overly competitive game, but I don't want a donk-fest either. The reason i suggested 3/6 is because it's not enough to really affect most poster's rolls, but it's big enough to intrest the better/ bigger money players, as well as being high enough to encourage good play, and lends itself to an excellent stud structure (2/4 with a .50c ante is kinda crazy, and a .25c ante makes for a rock-fest).

i geuss 2/4 would be acceptable, and as far as the big bet games, .50/1 blinds would be fine with me. no stinkin' micro BS, though, sorry.

I live in the capitol hill neighborhood near downtown. i think my location would be a good fit, since i'm next to I-5 and I-90. It seems like a friday night is what most would prefer. that's fine with me- we'd start around 7-8pm and go as long as it takes. i am a night owl and can play for hours and hours, so i'm thinking daylight would make a good cutoff. maybe we could work in a $10 or $20 NL freezeout STT at some point... those should take about an hour-and-a-half, right?

what else?

Anyone that can make it is invited, unless you're under 18, a total k-hole, or a republican(j/k about that last one), up to a maximum of ten or so people. (it's a 600 sq ft studio, after all).

So: It looks loke A: people favor a friday, B: 1/2 is probably the consensus on a limit, maybe .25/50 or .50/1 as the blinds for the big bet games- maybe we'll bump 'em later in the evening if people want to. C: most people like holdem. I think any serious player should be at least proficient and comfortable in all the games. so, we'll do dealer's choice (dealer-picks-a-round). I pick TDL. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

This is still very much conditional on my getting a new place and having it ready in time. Right now I am leaning toward friday the 15th of july, perhaps a week later or earlier. you will know when i do.

sounds like fun, i'm pretty stoked. I'll make a new post closer to the game to set it up and see who can make it. sry for the poker content in OOT, but it's mainly ooters that i'd like to invite to the game, so there.
