So I finally decided to dust off my Neteller Debit Card and load it up with 1K. 998 is on my card and I make my first withdrawl of 500 at a Bank Of America ATM. Things are fine and my balance is over 490. On my way to Turning Stone I stop at a gas station to fill up and decided to withdrawl 480. Swipe the card and plug in the info and type in the 480. The machine takes a long time before it finally says transaction was cancelled and to take the reciept and contact my card provider. Of course I sit for a few minutes and no reciept comes out.

I then try to use my card later on at the casino and can't because my funds were too low. When I get home I check my debit balance and its only 10 dollars. And after some contact with Neteller they tell me to call the number on the back of the card and talk to a Tier 2 Specalist. It seems like they want to charge me .95 cents per minute for the damn phone call too.

Has anyone else had any problems like this...was it a pain to get your money back?? Hopefully it is not too difficult.

I use my debit card all the time and never have any problems, primarily because I keep track of my balance on a spreadsheet. Granted that it is frustrating because all you can get on your account page is the balance and not a transaction history for the debit card itself (only for the main account), but if you email them a request, they will send you an email with a transaction history for whatever period you ask for. I would do this before calling them so as to have all the facts available.

I had a minor problem by comparison.

I tranferred $500 onto my card and tried to withdraw $495, but it turned out that after all the fees (Neteller, the debit card issuer and the ATM, I was short by 25cents. I thought perhaps I hadn't waited long enough and tried again a few hrs later and again the withdrawal failed.

I then contacted Neteller who informed me of the fee assessed by the debit card issuer (I wasn't aware of it). They then credited back $2 as each failed withdrawal cost me $1.

Well I talked to them on the phone and they say its going to take 35-45 days to get my 480 back. Not too thrilled about that...but customer service was good. The thing I found interesting was that on my transaction log there was an "ATM Reversal Rejected Amount (482.50)". Which makes me think the ATM tried to put the money back on the Card but was unable. Not really sure. Hopefully this gets sorted out quickly.
