It seems to me that if you're willing to push in that post-flop situation than you probably should just raise the bet pre-flop. Since I'm willing to do the former I probably do the later too.

1) I'd much rather raise to isolate than call and give a limper or two the chance to come in.

2) You fear four hands from MP2 and 44 and JJ are hella unlikely.

My thought was calling and then if A or K came on the flop and he made a decent bet I was folding.
