I've been playing Stars for the last month and built a comfortable bankroll and today decided to move some of it to Party and play. Needless to say I didn't do to well. I'm not panicking but am wondering If I'm missing some obvious plays.

The first two hands are in the middle of a tourney. The KJ hand was the first playable hand I had up to that point, is the flop bet all that horrible? Crazy push with 87? yeah I agree.

In the second tournament, I'm looking for some feedback on my bubble and ITM play, both with the range of hands I played and didn't play. I should point out that I didn't feel it neccessary to post some of the obvious pushes (monster starting hand) and folds (crappy hand facing a raise or two).

Do min-raises in these situations usually signify strength from 2nd stack? Should a call a push, I probably wouldn't. If he just limped I would probably check it.

No way dude. They aren't even suited. You have 10BB left and plenty of time to find a better time to make an all in move.

I'm going to assume though that this was an attempt to steal the blinds. Even so I wouldn't be doing it with the BB having 4 times the chips you have. It's a pretty easy call for him if he's got any marginal hand and he's probably figuring you're attempting to steal the blinds.

Trying to steal? But against who? The guy with a decent size stack. I'm surprised you got him to fold. I think if you're going to steal you should pay more mind to chip size in general.

That's enough from me for now. Don't feel like going through all of these hands.

I'm MP1. When I folded there was only one limper in front of me. I won't start playing AJs until I'm one off the CO. I'll raise 3xBB if it's folded around to me and limp if there are limpers. This is for the early rounds, is it too loose?

Ok. Right now my feelings are if I'm looking to steal and/or double up I have to have a tighter range against blinds with 3x+ my stack as well as blinds that are very small (stack size not blind size). And I should loosen my pushing standards against the imbetween stacks since they will have, in general, a much tighter calling range (Thus increasing my stealing chances). Is this thinking flawed?

I haven't read anything anyone else has written, and I'm no authority. But this is what I'd do.

1. I think the KJ bet is tempting, but inadvisable.
2. I tend not to push that 78
3. Folding that AJ is just fine.
4. probably gotta push the K7
5. K6 push fine
6. Q8 push fine
7. 77 push fine
8. 102 fold fine
9. A5 push fine
10. Push the K5
11. 23 fold fine
12. i hate pushing that q10, maybe i'm playing too weak though
13. 96 fold fine
14. i think this minibump is fine with the shortstack holding t219
15. aj push fine
16. q5 fold fine
17. a6 push fine
18. i would probably be folding the first a7 with the co-chipleader minibumping the whole table plus the bigstack bb from utg - he wants a caller, and it's because he's got a pocket pair or an ace that dominates you
19. the second a7 call is fine

Here's an example of where I look to steal with any two if the conditions favor it. The stack sizes warrant tighter calling standards from SB and BB and so far they have been playing fairly tight. I think the blinds are worth stealing but will any two do? I planned on folding if raised and even min-raised since I didn't think either SB or BB was capable of raising at all without a very strong hand, not that it'd matter. Are these types of play worth it? And I mean +$EV?

No way dude. They aren't even suited. You have 10BB left and plenty of time to find a better time to make an all in move.

I'm going to assume though that this was an attempt to steal the blinds. Even so I wouldn't be doing it with the BB having 4 times the chips you have. It's a pretty easy call for him if he's got any marginal hand and he's probably figuring you're attempting to steal the blinds.

You're going to "assume" he was attempting to steal the blinds? Do you actually think he believes he's got a great hand?

This is still the first level and AJsuited is not an all in hand here. Especially after a guy raised 3BB.

Trying to steal? But against who? The guy with a decent size stack. I'm surprised you got him to fold. I think if you're going to steal you should pay more mind to chip size in general.

That's enough from me for now. Don't feel like going through all of these hands.

That last hand is an absolute autopush. Chipstack isn't always a factor. He's got a good hand, lots of FE, only gets to see four more hands before he's auto-all in w/any two. There's not a stack at this table he can steal from at this point. He knows he's getting called, and he doesn't give a crap, because he has to push, and in all likelihood, has the best hand.

Bad play here, in my opinion, because of your small chipstack.

In hand 4, 5, and 10 where you advocated pushing each time, what is your pushing range? I'm assuming at least A2+, K2+, 22+?

14. i think this minibump is fine with the shortstack holding t219

That's what I was thinking. I wanted that t300 but I wasn't willing to put a good chunk of my stack in the middle to get it.

19. the second a7 call is fine

What's you're calling range here. Obviously I've gotta loosen up a bit and play for 1st now that I'm ITM. I just ask because I'd like, and feel like I need, an idea of what types of hands I need to be playing in these situations. At Stars there were t13500 chips in play once you reach the final 3 so ITM play is much different there, small blinds:stack ratio, longer rounds, etc, etc and thus unless very short-stacked, waiting to be the agressor most instances and only messing around with raisers when you had a strong hand or sensed weaknesses is the preferred method. ITM sometimes lasted 40 hands where at Party I can't imagine the average # of hands played ITM to be greater than 15. cheers.
