Please, this isn't a bad beat, it would be sad to keep track of how many 3 outers I lose to everyday.

What I was trying to find out was if I played the hand correctly. Was my initial bet large enough? Should I have put him all in after the flop risking so many of my chips so early in the game?

You played it fine, he got lucky.

Bad beats happen to everyone, not just you.

I've had that beat happen to me twice today and I've had AK busted by Ax more times than I can count in the last week. please.

Really? Judging from the title and content of the post, you're complaining about a bad beat.

And had he not caught his hand, you wouldn't be posting this, because you know you played it fine.

Luck runs in streaks -- you'll have days, or weeks when you can't lose, and times when you can't win.

The only thing I can say, is if it's a losing streak, examine your play carefully to see if there are any new leaks in your game.

I agree with the previous posters who answered the question. The hand was played fine.

You know, selective memory often makes us believe that we're running badly when we're really not. For every beat like this, there's plenty of times your 74o sucks out against AQo (how do you think I make money? /images/graemlins/grin.gif). Go through your old hand histories and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.
