$11 SNG. I'd like to see if there is a consensus about the best way to play this hand in this spot. Player in seat one had been down to $500 a while ago, and doubled up. He had been aggressive as a short-stack at this level and on the bubble, pushing hands when he was the first in and getting out of the way when someone else was first in. The other player had been catching high pairs all night long and been cashing them in. He was playing only quality hands.

Given these reads, is there a reason to raise to t500 or do you just push, even though you can't expect to get better than a coinflip if someone calls and might very well be a 4-1 dog?

As always, thanks for taking a read.

EDIT: Actually now I'm not sure. I'd push it, but I may be wrong. Lemme try to figure this out a little better.

I raise to 3-4 BB, and push if checked to on the flop. The stacks are a little short to straight push, if they were 150 3 it would be clear.

Higher pairs are going to all-in you anyway, and that's all your afraid of. All min-raising does is let them get a pair for cheap or all-in you with two overs and now you don't know what to do.

You should push. Your +EV = 4.6% ROI if you push. That assuming thier call range is 22+,A2+,KQ,KJs. I can make a case why weak aces won't call here so your +EV may be higher.

I never said to minraise... IMO a 4BB raise plays very similar to a push here. if youre reraised its a pretty clear call.

yours, theirs... the three stacks.

Puuuush.

Also, if you raise to 3BB, and are pushed back at, it's a call. You'll be getting slightly better than 2-1 from SB, and even better odds from the BB.

But I hate playing a pair of 4's postflop when the pot is about the size of my stack. It's too touch and go.

So push.

EDIT--Got the blinds mixed up. It doesn't change the recommendation, however.

Thanks to all of you who answered. I guess the correct play is to push, but I hate pushing with such a low PP.
