Omaha Hi $1-$1 PL (real money)

Seat 8: Hero [6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif,7 /images/graemlins/spade.gif,6 /images/graemlins/spade.gif,4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif] ($90 in chips)
Seat 9: BB ($99 in chips)

PRE-FLOP

UTG folds, Button calls $1, Hero checks, BB checks.

FLOP [board cards 7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif,K /images/graemlins/diamond.gif,7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif]

Hero bets $2, BB raises to $4, Button folds, Burdamania calls $2.

TURN [8 /images/graemlins/spade.gif ]

Hero checks, BB bets $1, Hero calls $1.

RIVER [A /images/graemlins/spade.gif ]

Hero checks, BB checks.

Raiser minraises a lot of pots, I'm not ready to give up and give him credit for nuts here, and I'm not folding the turn for a buck either. This standard?

This hand is silly. Nobody who knows what their doing would minraise in this situation. I would call down like you did vs. villain's tiny bet, but have to fold to any "real" bet since you have no kicker.

As I mentioned on my own post, I am a newbie to Omaha, but I can't understand why you aren't betting the turn and river.

On the flop you are only behind a 7 with a better kicker and KK. On the turn, he puts out a pathetic 1 dollar bet when faced with a decidedly unscary 8. Check raise (since you didn't bet to start with) and lead out on the river.

PS You didn't change your screen name on the flop call of the raise.

Ah, you have much to learn grasshopper /images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'd usually figure this guy for a 7, and well, I have a 6-high kicker which won't even play most of the time by the river. If he makes any decent sized bet on the turn, it's an easy muck to a sensible player. For all I know, I could be drawing to one out if he has KK, and zero outs if he has K7 or 78. Not a good spot. Bad players will often minbet with the nut boat if they know the case 7 is in their opponent's hands and they're drawing dead or close to it. I'd hate to get reraised on the turn here, what can I beat but a stone bluff? No need to bet the river, that's a bad card as well.
