Isn't this exactly the opportunity I'm looking for to double or triple? Or am I just trying to justify my bet? What would you do?

UTG calls t20, 2 folds, MP2 raises to t120, Hero raises to t400, 4 folds, UTG calls t380, MP2 calls t280.

Flop: (t1230) A/images/graemlins/club.gif, 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif, 9/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players)
UTG bets t120, MP2 calls t120, Hero raises to t1100, UTG calls t980 (All-In), MP2 calls t980.

Turn: (t4530) 6/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)

River: (t4530) T/images/graemlins/club.gif (3 players, 1 all-in)

I would probably just push pre-flop.

Those are both big Pre-Flop raises, but judging by the fact he only called and didn't push pre-flop I don't think he has Aces.. All-in is okay in my book because it protects from a flush draw and traps AQ or AJ's played by fishes...

If he did have Aces or a dominated hand that made runner-runner flush or something.... That's poker...

I was just wondering if I might have overdone the aggression. Especially this early in the tournament. Any other thoughts?

I like your play. I really don't like just pushing preflop since there's not much to win.

After the flop, I like the push since you're almost always ahead at this point. The only hands that should be in are big aces (maybe AQ or AJ made a dumb call) or big pairs. You've got a big pot that you should be happy to take down there.

I don't think I've ever pushed preflop level 1 on stars with AK.

On big stack sites most of your EV should come from postflop play.

I do like your flop play given the size of the pot though.

You were not FIRST TO ACT. Makes it really tough to get away from your monster, but MP2's FTA raise should have given you a clue.

MP2 Raised in front of you with the standard 6xBB indicating KK, AA, AK or maybe QQ. This early, he could have TT or even JJ and make this bet. Still, you are in a coin-flip against any pair. Is this the spot you want to choose to move on the table?

When you get two callers on your re-raise.....yikes.

At the flop, you had no choice to push. Nothing wrong with that play for sure.

Not advocating a pre-flop fold here, but perhaps a push after MP's initial raise to isolate him (or UTG) and hope for the best on the coin-flip against 1 player.
